Unfortunately, due to rising rent and a pretty steep tax increase following a new assessment of the building, we here at Wyld Archery have had no choice but to increase our rental prices. The following changes take effect August 1st:
Lane Rental: $12
Youth Lane Rental (11 or under): $6
Recurve Rental (includes bow, target and three arrows): $6
Compound Rental (includes bow, release, target and three arrows): $12
Further, 30 session lane passes will be increasing in price to $180.
A more temporary change will be our brief switch to Summer Hours. Until September 3rd we will be closed on Thursdays as well as Wednesdays so that Justin can enjoy some summertime fun with his family.
Thank you very much to all our regular visitors, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the range! Have a great summer!
Exciting news folks!
As those of you who follow our Facebook page may already know, this Saturday January 11th, Nibal from APA Archery is going to be at Wyld Archery from 10AM until 11:30AM showing off APA Archery’s new 2014 line up! Come on down to see what’s in store first hand, and be the first to own one of these innovative new bows! Nibal will be taking orders, and the lanes will be open! We’d love to see ya!
Hey Everybody! Guess who just got a shout out in the Edmonton Journal? That’s right! US! Check it out right here!
It’s been a busy year for us at Wyld Archery. This last three months has been a blast, and we’re looking forward to a busy 2014 as well. New distributors and stock are in the works and on the way for the store and the sweet sound of arrows hitting home has kept the place lively. The crew here at Wyld Archery sincerely hope you have had a great Christmas and got to enjoy the holiday season a bit with friends and family, and we wish you a Happy New Year!
A reminder we’ll be sleeping off tonight’s revelry tomorrow, so we’re closed January 1st, but we’re looking forward to seeing you for the rest of 2014! All the best to you and yours!
On Remembrance Day we will be open from noon to 5 PM. We hope you and yours are able to attend one of the Remembrance Day services across the city. Veteran’s Affairs Canada maintains a website that maps the various events across Canada, linked HERE, and Global Edmonton has a summary of the different services available, linked HERE.
After much to do following the break-in, we’re back to business as usual! The police have come and gone and the damage has been assessed. The only difference that will immediately impact you folks is we’re down several of our rental bows so larger groups of new shooters may have to share for a few weeks while our new loaners ship out. We’re sorry about the inconvenience and we hope to see you in the store soon!
We’ve been busy all weekend here at Wyld Archery!
The store’s in full swing now following minor techinical difficulties with our debit machine towards the end of last week. Archers have been making their way to the lanes all week and the sweet music of arrows thumping home at the end of the range has been filling the air.
Our next big project is getting some signage up, as we’re a bit tough to see tucked away as we are behind Canopy West. We’ll keep you updated on here and our social media accounts as we get signs in place.
Justin has been itching to use the new string jig he installed in the back, and likewise wants to put his fletching jigs to use- if you need new strings, cables or want some arrows fletched then swing by and he’ll set you up.
We’ve had a good combination of shooters come in the door- young and old, traditional archers and bowhunters, experts and beginners. A diverse crowd like that probably has a lot of stories- anybody have any good archery stories to share? See any archery cosplayers at Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo? Get out into the field and see any trophy bucks? Gear disasters or triumphant bullseyes? Feel free to tell us all about it on Facebook, or Twitter!
The shop is open for business and things are rolling here on the website. We encourage you to come by the new shop at 14805 Yellowhead Trail and spend some time shooting, or check out our growing selection of archery supplies. As more products arrive we will be keeping you updated here, on our Facebook page and via Twitter.
Over the next few weeks the website will be pretty busy as we add more images of our products, the shop and generally spruce things up. Feel free to drop by and say hi and see the new store!
